: first and only unmanned test flight<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>After 4 reports, the SLS, the largest launcher ever created by man, finally launched into space at exactly 7:44 am (Paris time) on Wednesday 16 November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SLS launcher, which propels the Orion spacecraft , is 98 metres tall, weighs 70 tonnes and is filled with 2.7 million litres of liquid oxygen and hydrogen.<br>Its thrust is 15% stronger than that of the Saturn V rocket, which sent the astronauts from the Apollo missions to the moon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Orion capsule is on its way to the \u00ab\u00a0rear zone\u00a0\u00bb of the Moon, in an orbit 64,000 km from the Earth\u2019s natural satellite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During this mission, Orion will travel 2 million kilometres over 25 days at a speed of
